What is the difference between a cell phone skin and cover/case?

I want to get my dad a new case (one of the plastic ones, that snap on) and he is a die hard steelers fan. i either want one made or i could design one. when i search to design one i find this site, but it says cell phone skins. it sounds like you have it right. a “skin” is just a sticker. (thats what they sell on the mytego site) very cool, but does not protect the phone at all. here is a link to what you want on e-bay.
