My LG shines screen has gone dark, how do I fix this?

Hey, I just bought my new LG Shine mobile phone today and it was working fine. I had it on its charger and after an hour or two the screen just went dark, everything is still there and its still on, but its too dark for me to see, so something is definately wrong. It is brand new, and has not been dropped at all or been mistreated. How do I fix this?

ur phone has either been mistreated or there is a real prob..
since u say it wasnt mistreated then it has a prob..
what could it be?? ask the servieman to–
1> check the display driver
2> u can check contrast display settings
3> u can check brightness settings (most likely)
4> remove and put back battery
5> turn on turn off
