We have cell phones for emergency type things with a low monthly minute plan and a low monthly cost. We then use our home phone (digital line from the cable company) for everything else. The long distance is free 24/7 with this line and so there are no extra charges to having the line. I get voice mail, caller id, call waiting, three way calling for far cheaper than a any cell phone plan could give me.

I owe a lot of phone calls.
